I bought an old 50w Sound City head a few weeks back on a whim, only to find as I took the chassis out, it had this incredibly rare output transformer in it. This is the transformer used in the earliest Marshall amplifiers, and is no doubt responsible for the majority of the JTM45 sound. It is also the transformer that is usually blown! I really doubt you’ll find another again, and in full working order. Grab it whilst you can! Please check out the pictures below as these form part of my description.
