I’ve just had this wonderfully rare amplifier in, found at a local house clearance. Tracking it back, it was owned by the band ‘Perfumed Garden’, and can be seen in various pictures of them.
Surprisingly it is original internally. Unfortunately it had taken a hit previously, meaning the output transformer end bells had snapped. My tech managed to find some spare end bells and replaced the broken ones (pictured) with the new ones. This means the output transformer is original but the end bells aren’t. (Never thought I’d talk about end bells as much !). Obviously the logo is a newer replacement too, that needed no holes drilled!
The 10,000 series are incredible amplifiers. This one is a transition amplifier, with the internals of a ‘black flag’, just with a slightly later 1967 JMP panel.
