I’m so excited to offer this beauty for sale – an original 1965 Hofner 500/1 in great condition. This one comes from the long term owner, who bought this in Nottingham back in the 1980s. He’s owned it ever since! The pot codes on this is 1965, and the characteristics back this up too. This is definitely THE bass to have for sure. When I received this, I took it straight up to my guitar tech who had it cleaned, restrung and setup well. The neck has been secured in the past (hence the extra fret dot on number 18), and it is now as solid as a rock and will not move. It’s got some incredible natural relic’ing, and plays and sounds great. You’ll really not be disappointed with this one – it’s a beauty!
