Talk about character – this is a truly stunning well played and well looked after Hofner Senator bass that is the nicest sounding Hofner bass I’ve had. It dates to 1964 and is in full working order. I bought this from the original owner in Wales, who’d recently decided to let go of it. He’d moved the pickup from the original position to the one you see it now (another hole drilled), and honestly the difference in tone is exceptional. I would highly recommend keeping the pickup where it is. It’s cleaned up super nice after being in the loft for some time. The original pickup sounds great and the neck is extremely sturdy indeed. Cosmetically in very good condition, with hardly any marks at all. A classic bass guitar that will not disappoint at all!
