I was recently contacted by the long-term owner of this guitar in London. It’s been in the family for many decades. This one is a really early example of a Cromwell G4 made by Gibson in the 1930s, with the ‘Gibson’ script logo to the headstock too. It’s an incredible little guitar with a solid spruce top, solid mahogany back, sides, and neck. Built to a really high standard in the 1930s! It’s a true beauty and in wonderful condition. The previous owner had looked after it very well, and it has some incredible natural relicing to the body. It’s a real piece of guitar history and a lovely guitar at that!
