This is a truly stunning and truly rare EARLY example of this classic guitar. Many many pictures of these guitars being played by the likes of George Harrison, Jimmy Page, etc. They were the slightly more affordable and easier to get hold of ‘Fender Stratocaster’ in the UK. This one I purchased from the nephew of the long term owner, who had this in his loft! It’s the second version of the famous Futurama as used by George Harrison and Jimmy page etc.
This one is pretty much identical to George’s and was produced in 1959 for Selmer by the Czechoslovakia company called CSHN (or Czechoslovak Music Instruments in English). It’s got the 3aside machine heads like George’s and the side mounted jack socket, and the tremor being a separate wood-mounted bridge unit. This one has been well loved over the years, with lots of nice crazing, but it really is in great condition and is built to such a high quality.
