This is a truly amazing original 1975 Rickenbacker 4001 in the rarely seen Burgundyglo finish that I recently purchased from the long term owner. These are incredible workhorses and have a HUGE sound. This particular one has had some life to it, being gigged often but looked after at the same time. The finish has a few dings and scrapes to it, as you can see, and the pick guard has a crack to the front just above the pickup. I have had the truss rods in the neck completely replaced on this one as the originals had the classic Rickenbacker issue with the tightening. It now has an incredible action and playability – as you can see from the pictures. Previously the fretboard has had a glue repair near the headstock (pictured below) which is now as sturdy as ever. It’s an honest workhorse of a guitar and a nice one at that. Comes with a period correct hard case in good condition.
