This is a stupidly rare amplifier – one of apparently only 5 ever made with the push buttons. I was offered this from the long term owner down in London, alongside a matching second. I had to buy them both! It was made by Terry Marshall – the son of Jim himself – and there is rumoured to be only 20-30 of the THOR amplifiers in existence. This one is completely uncirculated. I’ve not seen a better built amplifier for a long time, with its Partridge transformers, 4x Brimar EL34 and 3x Brimar ECC83 valves. The sound is very similar to the early JTM45, and has a sound to die for. Cosmetically in incredible condition as you can see. Please see the pictures below as these form part of my description.
